COVID-19 Safety and Precautions
We at Smile Garden Dental Center are making every effort to protect you, our staff, and the public amid growing concern about the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19). We always follow CDC universal precautions in rigorously disinfecting our dental chairs and operatories before and after each patient. We follow CDC guidelines in the cleaning and sterilization of our dental instruments. We monitor and keep the office clean, tidy and disinfected on a daily basis. To further enhance our protective measures we have initiated the following procedures:
- No more than 1-3 patients in the waiting room at any given time
- Everyone (patients, staff, and doctor) is required to wear a mask while in the office. We all wear KN95 masks chairside along with face shields
- Wait times will be no more than 10-15mins so we can get you in and out
- We will be asking you to use hand sanitizers, either ours or your own, after touching surfaces
- In order to reduce aerosols in the air, we use an Extraoral Suction machine, as well as a High Volume Evacuator.
Postpone any routine dental visits IF any of the following apply:
- You are experiencing flu-like symptoms or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 exposure
- You have been persistently around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
- You have tested positive for COVID-19
We will be monitoring at-risk groups during confirmations and we will be asking patients in these at-risk groups to postpone routine dental treatment. If you are experiencing any flu-like or COVID-19 like symptoms please call your primary care physician and seek care.
